FRIDAY 2ND JANUARY 2026 - LONGLEAT FESTIVAL OF LIGHT
A chance to see one of the most spectacular light shows in the UK. You must buy tickets in advance at Longleat Festival of Light in order to be guaranteed entry. It should be a little quieter after Christmas and you will be taking a chance with the weather.SATURDAY 17TH JANUARY 2026 - NEWTON ST LOE & THE BIRDS OF PREY PROJECT
Not too far to travel for this day out. We will meet at Newton Farm at 10.00, have a coffee and then visit the Birds of Prey Project (you can book tickets on-line_. The Bird of Prey Project. The village itself which is owned by The Duchy of Cornwall is very attractive with many old buildings and a lovely church.If you want to have a meal about 4.00pm in The Globe just down the road please let me know as this will need to be booked.SATURDAY 7th FEBRUARY 2026 - CERNEY HOUSE GARDENS
These gardens near Cirencester are very good for seeing snowdrops and hellebores. Admission is by honesty box and refreshments are self service as well. The best time of the year to see these gardens is in Winter. We will meet at 11.00am . The Bathurst Arms at the bottom of the hill is a very good up-market pub and we will have to book for maybe later in the afternoon if you want to stay for a meal. A visit to this large museum at Patchway. Lots to see including Concord and lots to photograph.I am not going to organise a pub this day as there is a good cafe on site.Tickets will be valid for the coming year. A very historic town in The Cotswolds. We will meet outside St John's church in the town centre at 10.30am. I have a town trail which will be interesting. The parish church is one of the finest in the UK and if the weather is poor The Corinium Museum is an option.If you want to book a pub lunch there are many options and I can book one.SUNDAY 22nd MARCH 2026 - MENDIP FARMERS POINT TO POINT AT STON EASTON
This date is subject to confirmation. A really good event to photograph horse racing action.You will need to be careful as you can photograph very close up to the fences they jump over. Lots of take away food available. I would advise booking tickets on line to save money.See Mendip Farmers Point to Point
TUESDAY 14th APRIL 2026 - NOAH'S ARK ZOO
I have put this outing on a weekday as there are substantial discounts on tickets for the over 65's for Tuesdays to Thursdays. If you want me to organise another visit on a weekend please let me know. This is a very good zoo to visit with a range of animals and it is expanding all of the time. Longer lenses recommended. I would suggest meeting in the cafe at 10.30am and have lunch there. Again no pub as we can have a meal there.SATURDAY 18th APRIL 2026 - GLOUCESTER CATHEDRAL
A visit to one of the finest buildings in Gloucestershire.I suggest using the Park & Ride or get the train there, We will meet at the Cathedral entrance at 10.30am. Bring a variety of lenses to capture the interior including the famous cloisters.We can have a pub meal in the evening.MONDAY 4TH MAY 2026 - NORTH SOMERSET SHOW
This is one of the largest one day agricultural shows in the UK and is well worth a visit .It starts at 8.30am and I do recommend getting there early as the traffic later on will be very heavy. SATURDAY 23RD MAY 2026 - RODMARTON MANOR Near TETBURY
This is an early 20th Century Arts & Crafts house and it is a super building to visit with a magnificent garden, considered tobe one of the best in Gloucestershire.No Photography is allowed in the house. This is a Historic Houses Association
property. A very good tearooms and plenty of toilets.
My suggestion is to meet at The Trouble House Inn for lunch at 12,00 pm and after lunch and before Rodmarton Manor opens we will visit Rodmarton village and church, a very tranquil place. Alternatively
you can meet us at the entrance to Rodmarton Manor at 2.00 pm.

SATURDAY 30TH MAY 2026 - COSMESTON LAKES COUNTRY PARK & MEDIEVAL VILLAGE
A lovely country park just outside Penarth, South Glamorgan. We will meet at the entrance at 10.30 am and spend a relaxingday there.Wildfowl and the medieval village to explore.Parking costs £5 for the day by coins or phone. If you want a pub for

TUESDAY 9TH JUNE 2026 - UNIVERSITY OF BRISTOL BOTANIC GARDENS
Superb gardens at Stoke Bishop, Bristol which you will need a long time to see including the greenhouses.we will meet at theentrance at 10.30 am . There is a good cafe there and car parking outside,Macro lenses and wide-angles for all the

SATURDAY 13th JUNE 2026 - CARDIFF CASTLE
A day at an amazing castle with interiors designed by William Burges, on an even grander scale than Castle Coch. Plenty tosee outside. I will have to keep an eye out to see if there are special events on which might make a normal visit difficult.
Otherwise there are loads of things to see in Central Cardiff. Meet at the entrance at 1100 am. I would suggest getting a train
there as car parking is very expensive.

Coming to Badminton House for the first time, usually at Hampton Court. This will be a huge show and you willneed to book in advance. Not that cheap to go and you have to take a chance with the weather. I have booked

A visit to this very attractive National Trust property on the outskirts of Clevedon which will open for the afternoonat 2.00 pm , However we can meet up for the day and meet at Clevedon Pier for 10.30 am if you want to make
a day of it and have a pub lunch nearby.
SATURDAY 8TH AUGUST 2026 - PORTH RHONDDA VALLEY
If you fancy a day doing gritty urban photography this is a trip for you. I know this town quite well, We will meetat Rheola Rd, Porth CF39 0AD where there is free car parking. The Rheola pub is under the bridge. We
will find somewhere to eat as there are plenty of cafes.
